Autoimmune Disease and Age of Diagnosis
Autoimmune Disease and Age of Diagnosis.
At what age were you diagnosed with an Autoimmune Disease?
‘I’ve battled psoriasis; I’ve had an autoimmune disease since I was two. So I’m very vigilant about taking care of myself and eating right and what I put in my body. It’s something that I had to be aware of since a young age. So health is a big deal.’ LeAnn Rimes.
I was diagnosed with coeliac disease at the age of 21. I was diagnosed with undifferentiated connective tissue disorder at the age of 35. Later this diagnosis would change to Lupus. I have since been diagnosed with several other autoimmune diseases. It is only in the last few years that I have started telling family and friends about this diagnosis.
I wish I had found my voice earlier because it took me in the direction of becoming a Health Coach and today I help others through it.
