What if I fail?
What if I fail? or What if I win?
The fear of failure is real. It can hold you back for many reasons, for being rejected in love, failing at your career, for not achieving the weight loss you wanted. Fear of failure sets you up to fail. If you stop and listen to your inner critic then perhaps you may not give yourself a chance to win. Would you let a friend talk to you the way your inner critic does? You assume failure is what will occur, so why even try. What if we assumed we would win? We would automatically try, wouldn’t we? What if we assumed the girl would say yes to the date, the manager would love your idea at work, and the weight drop of 2 kg would occur easily with some daily exercise and change in diet. Often our failure is because we look at the larger task - and don’t break it down into smaller achievable ones which we can celebrate along the way. Rather than assume we will fail, let’s take courageous steps along the way and let’s celebrate all of the small wins. You will soon see that you haven’t failed and you have completed the task you wanted to.
