be your own reason to smile
be your own reason to smile.
At times we can get caught up in so much ‘stuff’ that we forget to smile. We rely on others to make us smile, or we spend our time trying to get them to smile. We need to be our own reason to smile. Have you ever noticed that young children seem to smile at everything. Everything makes them happy and amazes them.
In February I have written about love. Love in a relationship, a friendship, your work, your hobbies. Love in the movies and in songs. Love can make you cry and it can make you smile. We need to be secure in ourselves though and be our own reason to smile. We need to make ourselves a priority, love ourselves, care for ourselves. This makes us happy, it makes us smile, it brings us joy, reduces stress and when you smile, you draw others towards you. When we are smiling, and happy then tasks in our homes and work become a bit easier. Have you spent a day trying to be your own reason to smile recently? Why not try it. Book some time in your diary for some self-care, time on your own or with friends and family, watch a funny movie, relax. Be your own reason to smile for once.
