Handle with Care
Handle with Care.
The world slowed down in 2020. Countries around the world saw the economic effect of Covid which may live with us for years. For me though, it felt like we gave the world a time to breathe. As factories in China shut down temporarily, the air in Hong Kong was less polluted. Nature seemed to heal itself and some countries saw country parks and beaches recover from tourism.
Where we live is amazing. I don’t think we take enough time to think about the consequences of our actions. The plastic bottles we use and throw away when we could use glass. The purchases which we make, which we don’t need and end up in a landfill. The rubbish that goes in the regular bin because we can’t be bothered to walk to the recycling bins (they are just that little bit too far to walk to?). The cars we jump into to drive what would take us 5 minutes to walk.
2021 should be the year that we think about the world we live in. It supports us, it enables us to have life. This world is amazing and that is the one thing that we should handle with care every day.
