May Peace be your gift at Christmas
As Christmas gathers pace, we often crave a little bit of peace in our life. It’s important to take time out to have some peace in your life, but also to pass peace on. Lots of charities offer gift cards where you donate your money as a gift for others. It’s a lovely gift to give children, and we started this tradition many years ago. The first year we had questions and statements about ‘where the goat is we bought’ or ‘why did we buy someone we don’t know a toilet?’ but that’s the beauty of these gifts. It gets younger children talking about those less fortunate than them. Peace can mean many things. It can be someone donating to a local food station, so others have some warm food and drink, or it can be the gift boxes that schools ask us to fill up with gifts for children less fortunate. These gifts passed can give someone some peace as for a moment in time they feel thought of and considered by someone they have never met.
